When I print it's printing rubbish !? Instead of words it's like tiny boxes with letters in, i've not touched anything ? Any ideas please.

Its easier to completely wipe all mentions of the printer and then go to Canons website and get the latest drivers for your printer and version of Windows.

Your printer driver is using the wrong data format. I agree with CAC that the simplest solution is probably to uninstall the printer, restart your computer (IMPORTANT!) and then to reinstall it.

To uninstall, go to 'Devices and Printers' (or whatever it's called in your version of Windows), right-click on the icon for your printer and select 'Remove device'. The driver for your printer is available here:
