How do I transfer my camcorder footage to video (my mother refuses to get rid of her video recorder) I'm using a micro hdmi from camcorder to TV hdmi. The camcorder footage is playing perfectly on the TV screen but how do I record it?

When I used to do it years ago you had to connect the camcorder to the VCR or DVD recorder not the TV

It's most unlikely that any recording device you might have will have the ability to record from it; the HDMI sockets on VCRs and DVD recorders are output only.
We need to know what other output sockets you have on your camcorder eg, firewire. You can get your computer to record via firewire and then create DVDs from there.
