How Do I Delete Auto E Mail Address In The To Field On Bt E Mail?

I want to delete some e mail addresses that automatically pop up in the to: field as they are now obselete.
It is a BT e mail that I use.
Any ideas, please?

Go to "Contacts" and delete the obsolete addresses.

Not sure if it's the same in BT but if you hover over the suggested address and click the x it should delete it
