No Sounds With Whatsapp

On Samsung J5 2016, all notifications are on, all sounds are up high, so why dont I get any sound when I get a message or a photo on WhatsApp??

Are the notifications in the Whatsapp app settings turned on?

Yes all notifications and sounds are on.

Have you accidentally turned notifications off in your main phone settings (nothing to do with notifications in Whataspp settings)??

Go to settings >> apps & notifications. It will bring up a list of apps installed on your phone. Locate the Whatsapp app and see if notifications are on or not??

All on ... Sometimes I get sound and sometimes I dont especially with photos ... ...

I know its no help to you but i had the same problem Friday but it seems to be working again now, i didnt do anything.
