Has anyone on here with an iPad and/or iPhone had some of your photos on the device(s) sent to you on the device(s) as a montage? If so, isnt whoever is doing that - presumably Apple - invading your privacy? It’s happened to a friend of mine on both her devices and the montages were of photos with her boyfriend, so they were clearly carefully selected by the anonymous compiler/sender. If this is against the law, who should my friend turn to?

Not email, not text, not WhatsApp. When she looked at her phone and iPad (different days) when their screens were locked she found a little message (though there was no indication as to how it got there) saying something like “happy memories” with a photo in tiny size. She pressed on the message / photo and it opened up a selection of photos of her with boyfriend which had clearly been handpicked
That sounds like the sort of thing FaceBook does, I don’t have FB notifications set so I don’t get the little pop up but such things (or similar) do turn up in my timeline
Facebook now uses face recognition technology to ‘find’ you in your own and other people’s photographs. You can turn it off:
