I am looking for the above. Don't want to spend too much as I don't have much to print nowadays - just the odd page. Thanks.

Few more Canon printers cheaper
http://www.argos.co.uk/search/printer/category:33016389/brands:epson/opt/sort:price/

I think I prefer Canon myself.
If I were buying a new Printer, it would be a Canon rather than an Epson.

It has been a long time since I got a printer so will all printers be easy enough to install or should I look out for anything?
i have an epson xp325 using third party inks, 12 for £5.00
Most printers are easy to install nowadays.

I've just installed a Canon Pixma all in one. Took about 15 minutes including the Wi Fi connection. Most of that time was taken up by the pc installing software and drivers.
G'afternoon Jenny.......I can't visualise that you will have any difficulty installing a new printer. Basically it's a matter of connecting a power supply and a cable from Printer to Computer/Laptop and inserting a disc with on-screen instructions. However, if you should have any problem, a few words into AB should give you an answer to easily put matters right.

Purely my view, but I don't think you are going to require more that an inexpensive 'all in one' Printer, Scanner, Copier. ; unless you are planning to produce high quality photographs. Are you prepared to give an indication of the budget you have in mind ?

I'll wait to hear further from you.

Best wishes....Hans.
Questions about new printers come up here frequently, as do questions from people experiencing problems with their printers.

Based upon reading them all for over a decade, it seems to me that the most popular brand of printer among AB members (and the one that people have the fewest problems with) is Canon. I certainly wouldn't buy an Epson printer myself.

The advice which I've frequently given to people here (and which has often been echoed by other AB members) is that it can work out a lot cheaper in ink costs to buy a printer that uses separate cartridges for each ink colour, rather than just one. You also get the best quality printing through using a printer that uses two different types of black ink for printing images and text. Such printers tend to be expensive though. However PC World currently have the excellent Canon Pixma MG5750 (which is the updated version of the MG5350 which I use myself) at half price and, if I was in your position, it's definitely what I'd go for. (It's also cheaper than ANY of their Epson printers):

thanks Guys and Dolls for your answers - will peruse them.
I wouldnt
I would go to PCW - collar a nice young man and say
I am looking for a printer that ....

very variable ink supply - one size most certainly does NOT fit all
and they are expensive

other than that - no tmuch to complain about
virtually all printers are plug and play
and if your computer has an internet application
mine does NOT
then it accesses the outside site for the most modern driver
