I need to get a printer for a small business and I was wondering if anyone out there is in 'the business' and can tell me which manufacturers end up the cheapest for mostly black and white printing from an ink jet printer. I will only be spending around 150 quid and it will be a MultiFunction.

I dont want Laser as I want to print in colour occassionally and networked colour MF's are outside my budget.

So far I have found a few Brother MF's which end up around 2.5p on a 5% yield for B/W and I was wondering how this compared with other manufacturers. Cheers Rob

Hi robski, If its for a small business then I would strongly suggest that the only way to go is with a b/w laser printer, it is miles cheaper per page than any ink jet, the cartridges last ages, it is faster than most ink jets, the printing is better etc... If you need some colour buy a cheap colour inkjet for the odd pages in colour. You don't need a network enabled printer if you attach it to a networked PC and set up printer sharing.

I recently bought an Epsom Stylus C46 (40) and buy a black and colour cartridge of the internet for 4.20 including postage.
