Just purchased a New Huawei E5330 wireless router complete with 3Gb sim card. I have followed supplied start-up procedure to the letter but unsuccessful. After charging battery fully I connect to laptop via cable provided / open google chrome and enter http://192.168.1.1 followed by Enter. My instructions are then to enter default User name and Password (which are admin)
Try as I may I cannot find any window to carry out the instruction. All help will be greatly received. I need this unit working as I am going away where no wifi is available. Thank you

Thanks Togo. I have followed both your suggested sites with the same result. Having entered http192.168.1.1. as suggested via my google chrome browser I do not get a facility for selecting “settings” Any further advice please?

PS....... I get a “time out” message
At a guess your laptop might still be connected to WiFi and will be attempting to connect via that which it can't do, try switching off WiFi and having another go
You should be able to fined a time out option in the set up procedure, if not in basic set up then in advanced. If it is set to 0 you need to set it to always on.
PS don't forget to "save" if you make any changes in the settings procedure.
This may be important too.

log back in to the router with 192.168.1.1 user name and password is admin(I know you are doing that)
click on "advanced"
Then when it goes there click on basic
Make sure wan is highlighted on the left
Click on connection trigger, and select always on.
Then click on apply
Togo, I don't think he's getting as far as the boxes to enter id & password "My instructions are then to enter default User name and Password (which are admin) Try as I may I cannot find any window to carry out the instruction."
One or two tips here Telboy. A forum that has similar to your issue. May be worth reading through.
