Is there a way I can transfer/copy email folders held in MS Outlook 2010 on one laptop on to another with MS Outlook 2017 using an external hard drive?

Easy peasy: Follow these instructions to export your folders. (They refer to a USB flash drive but you can use an external hard drive instead): http://classroom.synonym.com/export-mail-outlook-usb-flash-drive-17140.html Eject the drive from your old laptop and connect it to the new one. Then follow the same initial instructions but (obviously)...

Eject the drive from your old laptop and connect it to the new one. Then follow the same initial instructions but (obviously) choose Import instead of Export.

Well I was sceptical but it has worked perfectly, all came in as folders ready set up without me creating them first so thanks a million. Only minor blip was I couldn't select just the sub-folders to export, had to be at inbox level so all my inbox emails are repeated. Still, gives me something to do :-)
Also obviously I meant 2016 not 2017 :-)
