How confident are you with 'techie' stuff? I've been playing with installing various versions of Linux onto old laptops (so I'm not a complete novice when it comes to using Ubuntu or whatever) but getting Linux onto an Android tablet looks rather trickier to me.

e.g.

It's not something for the feint hearted .. you may well end up with a 'brick'. But the people over at XDA have been doing it for a number of years ..

Remember .. anything you do is at your own risk. But at least you aren't experimenting with a high spec device.

You are, I take it, that you can run w10 on an Android tablet? Yo may of course already be doing so .

Doubt that you can run W10 on a 5 year low spec tablet .. I may be wrong. ;-)
The link shows XP, 7, 8, AND 8:1 as well for Android Alava.
