Just had a Fitbit (Blaze) does it have to be worn on my dominant hand which is my right hand, I am right handed, but I would prefer to wear it on my left hand or does it not matter.
In the app it asks which hand I will wear it on.

I believe the app asks whether you are right or left handed and which wrist you wear it on as we have just set up my wife's new FitBit Alta. As long as it knows whether it is on the dominant wrist or not it will be ok so wear it on whichever you want.
Yes you will ok.

I have a Fitbit Alta and wear in on my left arm (as you would a watch) and it works fine.
what do these things do ?
I've been wearing a ChargeHR for about 2 years. I originally wore it on my dominant/right hand, but noticed one day that certain movements at work ( I'm a cook) registered as steps. I switched to my left rust as it seems that is supposed to give a truer reading.
Minty...they count steps, and can track calories used, monitor sleep and heart rate, and exercise.
*wrist*...not rust
I'm a leftie and I wear it on my left hand without any issues
AH... right.. I know myself I don't move enough of late, certainly don't sleep enough !
It's helped with my sleeping. I sleep and rarely have trouble getting to sleep, though I'm a night owl. But it's made me aware of the quality...how often I'm restless or wake up. I make more of an effort to get a decent number of hours on work days at least.
How does it allow you to stop being restless ?
I take it it's just monitoring movement and making a caculated guess at the rest.
It doesn't * stop * one from being restless. That's just a normal part of ones sleep pattern. Before I got it though, I sometimes thought I never moved in the course of the night...I'd wake in the same position I fell asleep in. Now I know better ;-)
