Now Tv Screen Size

For some reason when watching tv through my Now tv box the screen is restricted size
How do I return it to full screen - I’ve tried to reset through to factory resetting but that just meant I had to log back on to my internet provider!
Can anyone advise me please

Check the 'display type' setting on your Now TV Box:

Home > Settings > Display type

Oh I’ve tried that and it’s still not filling the whole screen

is there a screen selector on the remote ..as in the telly remote for sizing screen ?

If programme content was originally recorded into a 4:3 format (rather than 16:9 widescreen format) then a broadcaster has to choose between stretching the image to fit the screen (potentially making it look rather odd) or showing black bands at either side of it. Are you sure that you're not simply watching old content, where the broadcaster has chosen the latter option?
