An advertisement has come on to my IPad and no matter what I do it will not go away. I have cleared my google history and swiped it when I double click but it still remains. Can anyone please tell me how to get rid of it. It has been on my IPad for weeks now. hollytree.

Are there malware scanners that run on iPads ?
(1) Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Data will not be affected.

Or (2)Click Settings...Scroll down to "advanced"....
Scroll down and click Content settings. It's near the bottom of the "Privacy and security" section.........Scroll down again to "popups".......Slide the Allowed Slider to the OFF position. Popups will then be blocked in Chrome.
Are you using Safari or Google Chrome (or some other browser), you said you cleared Google history but not anything else? Close down all running apps (double click home button then swipe up all apps), perform a hard reboot by holding power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears (nothing will be lost). Once it's back go into settings and navigate to Safari and scroll down to Clear History & Website data and agree to the 'clear' option. Then try firing up Safari again (if that's what you were using), this will mean that Safari will have forgotten all your website logons so you'll need to log in manually for the first time to each site you use which requires a logon.
