I'm looking for a screen capture app I can download onto firefox via the add-ons. I need something that will resize a map before printing. Many of the add-ons that come up on the list appear to be designed to work with specific programs such as Oritor (whatever that is!). I just want something that will sit on the top bar of my browser until I need it!

A desktop app from elsewhere would be suitable too as long as it's safe!

I love the Windows snipping tool. Is that any good to you?

Just type snip in the bottom left search box and click on 'snipping tool'

You might find it useful to have the Windows Snipping Tool available by a single click on the Taskbar at the foot of your screen. (I certainly do!).

To put it there, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories.
RIGHT-click on Snipping Tool and select Pin to Taskbar.
