Wii Connections

Good morning , I have bought a new TV but the only connections on the back are either HDMI or USB, what is the name of Wii connection please so I can look for a part that i can put between the tv and the wii .thank you

Did the Wii connect to your last tv via scart?

If so do you have phono connections (red, white and yellow) on the new tv. You could use a scart to photo cable.

Hi Tuvok, the end of the the Wii lead that plugs into the TV is currently three colours into a scart lead, I do not have a scart orifice on the new TV only HDMI and USB, so the adapter suggestion shown above by Murdo will not work I think

I think i looked at Murdo link incorrectly, does this connector being suggested plug into the wii and then by hdmi cable to tv? If so that fine.

Yes it looks like Murdo's link is good. Check that your Wii has the connection point for the gizmo( some earlier models do not) and that your TV falls within the parameters that it will serve. You will also need an HDMI lead of the right length to connect TV to wherever the Wii is sited.

Thanks to all replies, I am now back up and running after xmas holidays, the HDMI converter suggested by Murdo works fine and all I then needed was a new hdmi cable
