I recently replaced the tower on my (admittedly ancient) Dell Dimension 5150 and now have Windows 7. I have gone on Amazon but now when I try to listen to samples of music I get a square in the middle of the screen telling me I need to install Adobe Flash player and go to 'Plugin Settings' for this purpose. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player but this still keeps appearing. Can anybody help?
P.S. Music samples play fine on every other site I've tried.
P.P.S. I'm not very techno-savvy so please be explicit if you can help.
Thanks.

Adobe Flash Player won't install properly if it finds that you've already got it on your system (even though your current installation isn't working). So the first thing you need to do is to go to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features to look for any reference to 'Adobe Flash Player'. (There's often only one entry but I've seen two there sometimes). Uninstall those program entries.

Then RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. (That's in capitals because it's important!)

Next, go here
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Deselect the 'optional offers' and click to install, following any instructions given.
(Go to your list of installed programs again if you want to check that it's there again).

You should then find that everything is OK.

Thanks, Buenchico. I'll try that when I get home and let you know how I go.
