I have a directory on my PC in which I keep all my Word documents, plus a few other files, but for some reason recently, they have all changed into chronological order and I would prefer them to be in alphabetical order. So how would I change them back to be in alphabetical order...I use Word 2007, if that's any help? Ta Muchly.

Open the folder you wish to sort. Right click in an empty area and select 'Sort by' and choose 'Name'
If your folder is set to show 'Details' then there will be column headings such as 'Name', 'Date Modified', 'Type' and 'Size'. Clicking on a column header selects that as the means of sorting (or, if that means is already selected, reverses the order).

So, for example, if you click on 'Date Modified' it will put the files into date order. If you click on it again, it will put them into reverse date order.

Similarly, clicking on the 'Name' header puts the files into alphabetical order. Clicking on it again puts them into reverse alphabetical order.

I hope that helps.

By the way, I spent over half an hour yesterday trying every Google trick I know to search the book reviews on the Daily Mail website and I still couldn't find any relevant references to 'class', 'painter' or 'Oxford'. Sorry!
you're searching the Mail website for signs of class, Buenchico? Well then.
I posted a possible answer to the novel on your original thread but I'll repeat it here
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Class-Alison-Hathaway-ebook/dp/B01263MP2Y
I looked at that one Fitzer and a few more - not sure it is about an Artist in Oxford though.
