Why do I have to go through the signing on ritual every time I want to use the answerbank.

I have to too on my kindle. I use Facebook log in all the time.

I have to on the laptop but not on the Kindle. It's only started recently since I've had to go to IE because of a job I'm doing.

I am using a iPad, I have ticked the relevant box (remember me) as for the browser, I havnt'nt a clue what one is.

A browser is the app/program you use to view web pages with. On a PC it's typically Internet Explorer, Edge, Firefox or Chrome. On an Android device it's probably most likely to be Opera. On an iPad it's probably Safari:
