Can anyone out there please explain in simple English - because I am a bit thick - how to tag photos in Windows 10. It was so easy when we used Window 8 but now I can do nothing. I have tried watching a YouTube video but the guy on there seems to have a different layout to me. Or maybe someone could recommend an app that would do the job. Many thanks.

Your question doesn't make any sense..you don't tag photos on an individual computer, you tag them in social media.

Thanks postdog. Maybe tag was the wrong word. I want to name people and identify where and when the photo was taken. I was able to do this in Windows 8. The infomation would then come up beside the photo. When your memory begins to fade you need all the help you can get and I have hundreds of photos of grandchildren, great-grandchildren etc.
using photos stored on media player ?
I do it by having a folder for each day, labelled yy-mm-dd eg, 16-04-07 Blackpool. I name all the pictures in the folder to be eg, Fred & Gladys on beach. A second picture of Fred & Gladys would be Fred & Gladys on beach (2).
That way you can "search" all your photos for pictures of Gladys or Blackpool and they will come up in date order.
if you click on picture..look on string above and there is a rename option..bit different to win 8 when you could right click to rename

Thanks murry and bhg. They are all stored on the computer. It looks as if I have a fair bit of work to do to organise them into folders. I did look for rename options without success but will look again. Thanks again.
This Microsoft answer indicates that it is done the same way as in Windows 8 and not via the Photos app in W10 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/apps_windows_10-photos/photos-app-windows-10/0e898e83-8039-453b-8742-767dcf59bcf2?tab=question&;status=AllReplies#tabs don't have either flavour of Windows so can't say if it works I'm afraid
