Using Ios Youtube App Comments

Hello. When using the iOS YouTube app to add a comment to a video, you can press on a word you have typed to bring up the 'edit' bar but the bar includes some symbols which may seem obvious yet I can't figure out: two oriental characters with opposing arrows between them; the word 'Learn' and finally two separate pairs of opposing arrows. You may have to scroll along the bar to find them all. I've tried highlighting/changing words then selecting these buttons but they don't seem to do anything. Can anyone help?
