A few comments please from AB Techies and even those, who like myself, are inclined to think they are qualified to talk on such matters; from on-line searches.

Be interesting to see the comments, I'm not convinced atm.
I've seen a fair few posts on here reporting various problems with Windows 10. I'm quite happy with windows 7 for now!

Somebody did report there would be less help if you remained with Windows 7. Makes it sound like we're being press-ganged into having windows 10. I don't know if that's the case...
I am gradually finding my way around W10. I just wish that things were as easy as W7, for instance to open Control Panel if I need to delete a programme is proving to be a little difficult.

Ron, I've already told you to simply type control panel in the bottom left hand box. Couldn't be easier. Or right click on the Windows start buttom bottom left and click 'control panel'.

I LOVE W10. I was one of the early beta users and have installed it on all my devices including my basic Nexus 7 tablet. It loads super fast and I really think it is intuitive and easy to use.
You don't need to mess with the W10 start button - everything is there and easy to use.

@PiedPiper15....If one has had to tweak things to revert to previous set-up, then changing to W10 was somewhat pointless.

@hc4361....From all that I have read in AB, you are one of the few persons who has fallen in love with W 10.

I go along with Buenchico on this one and he must now be the top Techie which is left in AB.

Hans.
If I hadn't been using W10 for over a year and was thinking of changing then I would think twice after reading Buenchico's thoughts on it, Hans. I can honestly say it has given my old Samsung netbook (not Nexus tablet as I mistakenly said earlier) a new lease of life and it only has 2GB RAM and a slow processor.
My desktop now boots in less than 30 seconds and has none of the overheating problems it used to have.
I hated 8 and am really pleased with 10. It has sorted out problems with the touch screen facility, sped up my very small windows computer and is much easier to use than 8 was.

I myself can't understand what problems there is with windows 10 I've used vista. .xp.. windows 7 and 8.1 now all my equipment laptop and desktop is windows 10 and all running smoothly and if I'm honest all round better and quicker ...didn't take a lot to get used to about the same as the 7 and 8.1when I 1st started using those ...overall I think it is great and glad I upgraded to10

Interesting hc4361.....Tell us what Browser you are using, because it could make a lot of difference to the way that W 10 performs; especially in AB.

Hans.
@ whiskyron re control panel...click on action centre button on taskbar(bottom right hand corner)then all settings.....then in find a setting at the top type control panel and there you go
I am currently using FF and Chrome, hans. Mainly FF. Edge is very whizzy but that is because it is very basic with no add ons.
