Since yesterday websites are closing down all by themselves! They can be open from a few minutes to only a few seconds. Laptop is HP 64 bit, W7, Chrome browser. The evening before I deleted cookies - could this have anything to do with it? This question has taken ages to type because I have to keep opening AB! Any suggestions would be gratefully received - it's driving me crackers.

I have run scans with Avast and Malwarebytes.
Try running the Chrome Cleanup Tool:

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow.

I tried that, Buenchico, but it's still the same. I have gone back to IE temporarily. Perhaps I will try uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it. I tried Firefox a while ago but had problems with that.
