Anyone know what has happened to Superantispyware? Used to be pretty good and usually found 60-80 adware trackers after a few days surfing.
But other day got latest version and for a week now has not picked up a single item, which does seem weird.
Sometimes I think if something works do not upgrade, its often worse after upgrades

With regard to SuperAntiSpyware, the old trick of uninstalling, and then reinstalling, might well fix your problem.

Do you have a real time protection running ? Maybe it is working in the background ?

No real time is for paid version, have the free version so no real time option
I have the same version as you, ro2124. I've just run a scan and it's working ok for me. So don't know what can be going wrong with yours. See if there is an update for it and then try running a scan.
SuperAntiSpyware isn't the anti-malware proram that's most frequently recommended by the technical press. (Indeed, it's quite often criticised). Try the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware instead:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/sem/
(NB: At the end of the installation process, make sure that you you deselect the pre-ticked option to take a free trial of the Premium version)

Me neither- its a mystery :-)
all I know after latest update installed not had a single item flagged for over a week. Have written to them maybe they can come up with explanation.

as to this:
@Buenchico
Yes I know about malewarebytes, using that too,(and Spybot) as often different programs pick up things another may have missed.

Their function may overlap but they are really looking for different things. MWB is looking for general malware of all sorts, SAS is specifically looking for nosey unrequested tracking of the PC user, mainly cookies that hold that info.

Should say SAS has been acting strange for me too of late, except in my case it is finding hundreds of cookies instead of a few. Unsure why. Suggests either it is failing to remove them, if they exist, or something is rapidly putting them back ?!?
same here i have malwarebytes and sas .with sas every time i run it (weekly) it picks out aprox 600 to 800 cookies>? cant see the point of sas now, if i want cookies deleting it easy to do manually in one go
It seems unable to remove objects found on drives in external caddies. They may possibly be in compressed files, not sure. Why identify if it can't deal with them ?

Well, looks like Buenochicos answer has done the trick :-)
Followed his suggestion of re-install and now its finding stuff like before , just tried it again and found 86 adwares!
so thanks Buenochico and of course all the others for trying
