I don't understand this. If you delete the whole password -perhaps by putting the cursor at the end and then tabbing backwards- that should delete it. or just highlight the whole password and paste the new one in.
Another idea is to remove the 'save password' option so your password box should be empty

ta for nice info
highlighted it no luck
i do not get the option to remove password
i only get the option to remove user name
did a restore to last week
still get the black dot in the password box
thanks again
I'm not sure what you mean by an option to remove password. When you highlight it what happens if you press 'delete'?
Copy your password from something like notepad then highlight the dot, right click and paste.
Worth a try

when you highlight it what happens if you either delete it or just type over it?
Question Author
i highlighted pressed delete
still one dot left in box
enter password 8 digits
ends up with 9 digits
so password cannotbe entered
can you click the cursor to the left of the dot and press delete?

Are the dots not just indicating/hiding possible digits ? Are you sure they actually represent anything more ?

Otherwise contact your bank.
open another program, like word or notepad. Notepad can be found in accessories in all other programs.
Type in your password so you can see what it says.
Highlight it and right click then copy.
Go to your password box and highlight the dot.
Right click and paste
Hit enter

went to wordpad
did what u said
highlighted dot
righ t clicked
did not get the paste option
thanks

Well try using control+V to paste then
dammit.
Have you tried it on a different browser, like Chrome or IE?
or control+C first to copy it
chances are a copy/paste isn't allowed in a password box FF
something doesn't seem right here. If you highlight all of it and press delete it should delete all of it.
Can you not type a blank space over the last *and then use backspace.
Frog makes a good point. Sometimes one browser can not cope with a secure webpage where another has no problem. Worth trying a few.
