Restarted my laptop today. Was forced into a lengthy "update".

On trying to launch Outlook I get the following message:
-------------------
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file
c:\users\appdata\local\Microsoft\Outlook[myemailaddress].com.ost

Cannot be opened.
-------------------

And that's it. No help, no instructions, no nothing !!!

Any ideas, anybody? Many thanks in advance to anybody who can help.

Thanks, SeaJayPea.

I'm just going to have a cuppa then I'll give it a try.
you could try resetting the navigation pane and check if it helps, ie:-

•Ensure Outlook is closed,
•Hold Windows key + R.
•Copy and paste, or type the following command in the Open box, and then press Enter:

Outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Note: There is a space between Outlook.exe and /resetnavpane.
