Hi

Do you know of a freeware program that can burn any type of .iso onto a 8GB USB flash drive but not ISO To USB, Power ISO, Rufus and Win 32 Disk Imager?

Please note: there are different "types of .isos". This is because when I have used Rufus to burn the .iso for HDD Erase onto a 8GB USB flash drive an error message was displayed with the words "types of .isos" included in that message!

Thank you from

Hi methyl

Thank you for your quick
reply.

Will now answer your 2
questions:

1. Windows 7 32-bit;

and

2. I only have 3 x 8GB
USB flash drives to
use.

Thank you from
Mr Berwyn H Price
Are you doing it according to these instructions?:

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/file-folder/fl/burn-iso-usb.htm

Or ... why not just use a DVD-R instead? It'll be a lot easier.

Hi Aquariel

Thank you for your
quick reply.

But a correction:
I have used Rufus
correctly + I would
have not asked my
original question if
I had not.

Also, when I first
used Rufus I was
trying to burn the
.iso that belongs to
HDD Erase.

Further: have just
recently tried again
and I received the
following message:
"This version of Rufus
only supports bootable
ISOs based on bootmgr/
WinPE, isolinux or EFI.
This ISO doesn't appear
to use either...".

Hope that justifies my
original question + look
forward to a helpful, and
sorry for 'saying' this not
critical, reply - received
critical, sarcastic + "why
do you want to do that"
replies in computer help
chat rooms and on forums
in the past + am getting a
bit fed up of it!

But I do thank you again +
I do look forward to your
nice reply soon in the near
future.

Hi Aquariel, methyl and anyone else,

Can I have permission from you all to
keep this posted question open just
incase someone else answers it?

Do thank you all in advance if I do
have permission to do so.

Mr P, only the Editor can close a thread.
Question Author
Hi scorpiojo,

Recently you posted the "only
the Editor can close a thread"
reply to my message sent to
"Aquariel, methyl and anyone
else".

Well, I need to either post another
message, or send a message, to
the Editor on this site.

The reason why I have stated
that is because today, 24 of
November, I sent my 4 posted
questions by e-mail to a person
from another website, which
has a chat room.

This was because that person
offered me help for 1 of my
questions after I asked it in
that chat room!

So, can you help me please?

Thank you from

Mr Berwyn H Price
(Mah-jonng)
Unfortunately, I cannot help with this question, Mr P. The only thing I can suggest is that you add a comment to this post (and your other ones) to bring them back into the latest posts, so that others who may be able to help, can see them.
Question Author
Hi scorpiojo

Thank you for your reply.

But can please explain
what you meant by "to
bring them back into the
latest posts"?

Also, although you did not
state it, are you telling me
to leave my posted questions
open by adding the following
to the end of each 1?: "today,
24 of November, I sent my 4
posted questions by e-mail
to a person from another
website, which has a chat room.

This was because that person
offered me help for 1 of my
questions after I asked it in
that chat room!".

Thank + look forward to your
reply.

I think scorpiojo has explained it well.
I think you've posted the same point 3 times now, Berwyn but I am not sure what more you need to know.
Your question will remain open indefinitely unless Ed decides to remove it or close the question to new replies, which he does sometimes but only in exceptional circumstances
Question Author
Hi factor-fiction

Thank you for your reply.

Sorry for saying this, but
I would like to receive a
reply from scorpiojo.

Also, sorry for saying this
as well, first I need to state
one correction then second
I need to ask one question.

The correction:

If scorpiojo had explained
it well then, + do not mean
any disrepect towards him,
I would not have not needed
to post a message to him.

The question:

What 3 points have I posted 3
times -" I think you've posted
the same point 3 times now" -?

Please can explain a bit more.

Thank you for all the above and
I do look forward to your reply
soon.

How did that ^^^ happen, where'd my reply go, all that typing vanished,
I'm not going to retype it, that's for sure, life's too short!
Question Author
Hi Baldric

Sorry to disturb, but
I have a question:
are you the Editor?

Reason why I asked is
because I was waiting
for a reply from factor-
fiction!

Thank you + I do look
forward to your reply.

Hi Berwyn,
Now I'm not the Editor, to contact him go right to the bottom of this page, underneath the Red Search Box there is a "Contact Us" button, use that to put an Email to the Ed. in the system and you should get a reply tomorrow morning with luck, or you can put a post in the Editor's Blog at bottom of Topics section on left hand side of screen, just be aware everyone can read that though.
Hi Mr P.,
If you look at the top right-hand side of your screen, you will see a list of the latest posts. AB members do not always search for questions in various categories; they usually look at the latest posts to see if they can help. If you add a comment such as 'still needing help', for example, your query will go back into the latest posts.

The point I was trying to make was that all your posts remain open unless they are closed by the AB Editor. If you do not require further help for a query, why not add 'resolved' for example, to your post(s)? I hope this explanation is better then the one I previously provided.

Ps I am female
