I send many emails and when I get a reply I wish to print just the reply from the person to keep, but I don't wish to also print my email which always follows on as the person doesn't send the reply on a new email but hits the reply button so I get the whole lot.
Previously I was able to highlight selected text, copy, edit paste and it wasn't a problem but on the lasptop now with windows 8 and using aol mail like I have always used it just doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone tell me in simple step by step instructions how to just print a friends email and not mine too...the same if pics are attached.

Many thanks

I imagine you could print the email before you reply to it...???

Iam getting an email from a friend and wish to just print it and nothing else . But she has replied on the reply/back of mine so Iam not only getting her reply...that is the problem, but what I sent to her too.She is not able to for some reason to send a fresh email to me.
why doesn`t she just compose a completely new email...this way it will just be her reply. What email account are you using?
I would have thought that your e-mail client programme would allow you to select 'print selected' so you'd just have to highlight the required bit first. If not then highlight copy & paste the bit you want into a Word Processor first, then print from there.

Have tried that many times but still get everything printed.
Another option . . .

Copy and paste the whole email into Word and then delete the section of text you do not want.
^^^^^ooops sorry
I see you received that advice last year

The way I do it with gmail is, open email, highlight & copy entire email, paste into M/s Word then delete what you don't require then print preview then print.

sir.prize, I have gmail and I copy just the text needed, hit Compose, paste and then print. The new email can then be discarded.
Couldn't you click between the reply and your original message, then press Enter to push your message down off the page then print only page 1?
