im on firefox and i am using a asus X54C, and a asus X550C
You have put this in Jobs & Education, Joko.
have you run a malware/anti virus scan?

I sometimes get Shockwave Flash player misbehaving on other websites which is a pain in the tonsils.
Sometime it takes ages because the CPU is running at 100% - on mine it happens with the flash player plug in. I just end the process in task manager.

thanks

how do i end it in task manager? i thought that just ended stuff i was consciously using? how would i know what was causing it?

i have run scans etc, malwarebytes and avg full security and clean up software, glary, etc - and it still does it often.

i will probably wipe the machine soon i think, and start again

This is all I can find at the moment, not ideal but worth a try.

i have just reset firefox to factory settings, which so far seems to have helped, dont know how long for though
For Firefox there is Noscript http://noscript.net/

Initially there will be a little bit of work for you to set what's allowed and what's blocked in order for your regular sites to work as you might want.
Perhaps I should add that NoScript is generally accepted to be one of the best add-ons for security, as well as stopping annoyances.
