I have just got a new Galaxy S5 and wish to transfer my apps and saved data from my Galaxy S3. What is the simplest and most fool proof way to do this? All of my contacts, photos, texts etc have already been transferred so I am purely looking for the app and saved data solution. Thank you.

Thanks HansUrbancka but the clip relates to iPhones and iTunes not Samsung/Android but appreciate the reply.
But it is also for transfering from galaxy phones
This app should do it. I haven't used it myself, but it looks like there are 2 options which depend on whether you have root access or not. If you are unsure then you almost certainly do not have it. Root access basically means you have access to system files that you wouldn't need access to unless you were a developer or serious geek. Normal people would never have root as there is potential to mess things up. It's a bit like being Administrator on your PC.

Anyway, without root you will also need to download a program on your PC as part of the process, presumably to access parts of android that are locked down.

Well just try the Vibosoft Android Mobile Manager. This program gives you enough ability to manage and control everything on Android device from your computer without any limitation.
