I have AVG Internet Security, AVG Tune up, Microsoft Security Essentials, Advanced System Care 7, Hitman Pro installed. My computer is painfully slow and takes several minutes to obey key strokes. I can type and then watch the letters come up one at a time. Please, what can I do?
Many thanks

Is it your only problem that your Computer is slow.? With what you have as security software etc, I am surprised that your machine has Not come to a full stop. For a start you do not need AVG and Microsoft security essentials the 2 will 'fight' each other as each thinks the other is a virus. That could be a large part of the problem get rid of AVG . Then I do not see that you need AVG tune up so get rid of them as well.
Sorry, get rid of Advanced care 7 as well . MSE is all you need, the others are just clogging up your computer . I do not know what Hitman pro is , is it a game?
No wonder its slow with all that stuff competing.
Microsoft Security Essentials, is all you need.
maybe you have too many security programmes installed which are conflicting with each other..im no expert but that could have an effect i think,,,
down load the"avg remover" from avg it gets rid if it

I always advise against Registry Cleaners because, unless one is an expert in the field of IT, they can in the wrong hands, literally render a computer completely useless. So for starters I would get shot of Advanced System Care and Hitman Pro. A decision then has to be made as whether to retain AVG or MSE as your Anti Virus Programme.

In addition to an Anti Virus programme, it is advisable to also have an Anti Malware Programme.( Which perhaps is the main function of Hitman Pro ).. My computers are set-up with MSE which costs nothing and the free edition of Malwarebytes.

and get ccleaner on your comp its a top notch free de clutter prog

Same here, nothing else required.

Yes it can be useful in safe hands. However, because it comes in the category of a Registry Cleaner I would personally stay well clear of using it. I cannot emphasis too much that Registry Cleaners can do irreparable damage to a computer and are unnecessary requirements.

Actually I would remove MSE. Even Microsoft say it's not very good now.
@TTG....Please give me a link to substantiate your statement..."Even Microsoft say it's not very good now."

And don't forget to defrag!
^^^^ //And don't forget to defrag!//

A complete waste of time.
Remove both AVG and MSE and install Avast free which is all you need for virus protection. Also download Malware Bytes free for malware detection and removal. The other programs you mention are not needed but if you wish to have a program like those CCleaner free is all you need. If you are using Windows 7 it defrags itself as it goes automatically.
