On my old laptop I had some thing called Clean up manager, or something.

When I pressed the start button it would come up in the 'run' bit and I used to be able to get rid of temporary internet files.

I've forgotten what it's actually called and I want to install it on this laptop. Can you help please?

I've just had a thought that you might be talking about the pre-installed 'disk cleanup' that comes with Windows, you can find that in your start menu> accessories>system tools menu.

Was it CCleaner?

I don't think it was that, daffy. I didn't pay for it. It was a free thing.
Thank you anyway.
CCleaner has a free version and a paid for.

Click on the left hand column where it has the green coloured text link.
Btw, I use CCleaner as do many of the tech minded people here, ChuckFickens used to recommend it when he was around.
