I'm not an expert but I have had a Linksys Wireless-G gateway (i.e. router/modem) for about a year and can recommend it. It was easy to set up and has connected two computers wirelessly, plus computer and x-box via ethernet, to my broadband connection with no fuss. I think it was around 80 so your price for the router only would seem about right.
LinkSys are a good make. Also, NetGear I've used too and found them easy to use.
Features... UPnP (universal Plug and Play) is handy. Video conferencing with MSN Messenger needs uPnP to work. Some other software need it too. I'd say all modern routers will support this anway, but it's something to look out for.
I'm using a Belkin ADSL modem/router with broadband with great success. Do you need the modem or just a router?
