Does anyone know if there is software to stop tremor on hand held video playback ? When we are playing back old vids from hand held video camera, the tremor is making us feel nauseous & I wonder if there is some way of alleviating this.

You need anti-shake which is a feature on a lot of video editing packages
All the videos will need re-processing though

Sony Vegas has it in some of their packages , they usually have trial versions
Adobe Premiere does, not sure about Elements, free trials available
DeShaker was free last time I looked.

Theres probably other

one thing to note is that the video will be slightly cropped
yeah the no shake of Pres Kennedy is arrsome !

I think they also use if for the bicycle viddies of the Cambridge rowing races - a uni full of techno geeks anyway
The solution depends on your setup. I'll give an answer for a Mac (I've not sure about Windows, I've not used it enough but I suspect the same actions work). If your footage is on tape then you need to convert it to digital using a converter like AVDC. This will put a digital copy on your computer disc. Import that to iMovie and edit using image stabilisation. If your footage is digital then import directly to iMovie and edit using image stabilisation

Thanks for answers guys. To explain a little more I am copying from VCR (using the prescribed VCR adapter to hold the original cassettes from the Vid Cam) to my Panasonic DVD recorder DVD discs which works a treat & require something in between to try to iron out the shakes.
