Somebody has given me their old laptop, an Acer aspire 7000 it has been wipped of almost everthing but is running Win 7 home premium, it does have a search engine which I think is part of "firefox" but I cant get on with it and would like to put on Google so how do I do this? (in easy to understand terms please as I am a computer numpty)

more important, have you got the firewall turned on, and installed antivirus as regards to using "google", just go to the google page,then click on "tools" internet options , and "use currant"

Thanks knockavacca I will sort out the firewall etc and take your advice on getting Google.
