I pressed the mute button by mistake and have tried to get it back to normal mode by doing what it says in the booklet but no luck.......so anyone calling can't get a reply ....does anyone have any ideas ....the phone is only 4 months old !!

It's a good thing that Panasonic only ever made one phone, otherwise we'd be left wondering which model.

Sorry forgot to put the model number in ! It's KX-TG8563E !!! A tad stressed as need the phone for as my partner is not a well man .TIA
You could try removing the batteries for a few seconds in case it's not a mechanical fault. It might reset.
Well according to the manual, you just press the mute button once to mute, and again to un-mute.

Many thanks for the answers , the phone was not the problem it was a fault
at the BT exchange ....so now back on land line ..
I had a similar drama over Christmas, great when they sort it out. :)
