Ipad Update

I have not yet updated my iPad because of all the problems with apple maps when they done away with google street view I see now there is an app for google maps. Is this as good as the old map I think I need to update so as I can view my sons photos in iCloud as he has sent me a link Is it now okay to update

I've downloaded the app and ca't get street view! It may yet come, as the app is an iphone one!

I'm unable to get street view with this app on iPhone.
Is there any advantage in upgrading if you have all you need on the present operating system ?

I need ios6 to share my sons photos that he takes on his phone and puts directly into the iCloud He is on holiday at the moment and I would like to see the photos of my grand children as he takes them

I'm sorry that someone with more experience has not responded to your question, unless it's been covered in previous posts. Can anyone confirm that it's possible to download google maps with ios6 even though the app is not available. Cloud is installed on my iPhone 4 running ios5 although I'm not sure how to get the best use from it

Thanks I have updated my iPad lost the google street view but bought an app for google street view Now can share my sons photos on iCloud
