I had to reset my Galaxy S2 phone to factory settings.

When I did it, I no longer had Google Play - I now had the Android market instead.

How can I get Google Play back on my phone?

That's because Android market was automatically upgraded to Google play, and by resetting the phone, you've wiped out all the updates.
I'm guessing that if you open the Android Market app it will upgrade itself to Google play.
