Emailing large file. How do i do it?

Hi all. I wonder if you could help me by telling me the best way to email a file containing 111Mb of photographs to a number of work colleagues. All the images are in .jpg format and they consist of 37 photos.

I've never done this before and I have my doubts as to whether my ISP (TalkTalk) would allow me to do it via my mail.com account.

Consider sending four or five (maximum) pictures at a time

Put the photos in a folder. Right click on the folder and chose "Send to" and then choose compressed zipped folder. This will reduce the size right down and allow you to send it by email.

Once they receive it they can open it and chose to unzip when prompted to see the pictures..

You beed to upload large files to a free host such as http://www.filefactory.com/
there are plenty of others.
You then will have a web address to send to the recipients who will be able to download the files.

e-mailing them is out of the question. Even if you sent them a few at a time, they would almost certainly cause your colleagues' e-mail boxes to overflow, for which they wouldn't thank you.

Zipping them up would make no appreciable difference to the size (they might even get bigger).

as mjwman says, the answer is to open an account with one of the sites that specialises in hosting files.

E mailing loads of pictures like this is a terrible terrible idea.

Why not just upload them all to Facebook, or to another photo storage site like Flickr or Photobucket.

Then if they are on Facebook, Flickr etc everyone can look at them, and they can also let friends know where they are.

Sending hundreds of megabytes of data to people over email is NOT the right way to go about this.

Thank you all. I spent some time doing what I should have done in the beginning and burnt them to CD. I've now got the disks ready to give to my colleagues.
