dvd recording from super 8

I have a load of super 8 video tapes. can i record them to dvd through my computer dvd burner, or will i need a proper video/dvd recorder. would the computer quality be poor?

to record them using your computer you'd need a video capture card in your computer, the end quality would depend on the quality (and pretty much therefore the cost) of the capture card.

It would be easier to use a DVD recorder.

I used a VCR and a DVD recorder very easily done. I did all my home movies this way.
