Hi. I managed to knock the laptop (Toshiba Satellite) off the desk and screen is somewhat "crazed". Is it silly to use it in this condition ie is there stuff leaking out which could damage the rest of the computer?

Obviously I can still type reasonably well on it. It looks like a spider has draped a web across it in parts!!
There's no problems in using it like that apart from it will annoy you.

What's the full model of the laptop, laptop screens are often not all that expensive and they aren't that hard to replace.

Thanks Chuckfickens. Where do I find the full model no. If it means picking it up and turning it over, I am loath to do that at the moment as I am in hubby's bad books!?
It would be on the bottom on a sticker.

Ha Ha! Ta for that. I may get brave enough later! Ruthx

I've braved it - hubby's outside! It's L450D - 113. HopeI've found the right thing. Ruthx

and how to replace it if you or hubby feels upto it..

Thanks for your help ChuckFickens. I don't think we are capable of doing it ourselves - too many screws to get mixed up! Ruthx
