Problem with CPR Global All-In-One Call Blocker

I have bought a CPR Global All-In-One Call Blocker for my telephone and it has worked fine for the last couple of months but now I do not have a dial tone on my telephone and cannot make calls out and when people telephone me it rings at there end but it does not ring at my end.
I thought it was a fault with my line but when I unplugged the Call Blocker and reconnected the telephone I get a dial tone and can make calls.
Can anyone tell me why the Call Blocker is suddenly causing this problem?
