There's a HP all in one for about 100 quid.

The Epson CX3200 is worth a look at. It is a flatbed scanner which is better for scanning photos etc
I have an HP1317 3-in-in-one.  I haven't used the scan facility yet as I don't know how to do that yet. (I tend to research how to do  things when I've got to use them!)   Judging by the photocopies and the prints from PC (HP Media Centre) the scanning is probably adequate.  I didn't want to spend too much extra and I think it was under 90 from PC World in February this year. I also wanted a neat size, rather than the huge lump some of the machines are.  It clunks a bit when printing and is ok for personal use of a few prints, but if you were wanting to do a lot at once, look for something better..

P.S. If you can tell me how to scan I would try to scan something to you and then you'd see.

There is an icon tray to left/bottom of my screen, and there should be an HP printer icon there, next to the time, but there is nothing.

I'll try to remember to look here Monday night to see if you have replied.  I see the printer on the link from OBonio has a fax too. but I didn't see that one at the time, as I'd have liked a fax.  Maybe it is big, though.

The list of others does not include my model.
