How to send a fax

I urgently need to send a two page fax today. I'm a bit wary about the so-called free fax services I've found on the web and I can't find anyone in my area who has a fax machine. I think I may be missing something obvious here as it just seems so daft. Can anyone offer me some advice please?

Thanks

try you local library
Or ask if you can email the document instead
Post office usually has them, or they used to.

otherwise can you not email?
Assuming you can scan (if hardcopy) I've used the site below with success, and no repercussions (though it took a few tries), check the file types and size limits first:

Thanks all. Unfortunately, I can't email the stuff as it's a form that a Water Supplier sent me to complete in order to claim a refund and exemption from charges. I also have to provide proof that I'm eligible for the scheme which means faxing letters I've received from my local authority.
The water has provide a fax number to send the stuff to them , but I've not been able to trace an email address - time is running out as I've got to get the documentation to them by the first of April.

"water board"
My Co-op and local Post Office have fax machines.
I think you can send a fax via PC, provided you can scan the document into it. One recent post I googled was titled "Microsoft Fax Software, How To Send Free Fax Online Via Computer And Email".

Thanks Craft. I hadn't thought of the Co-op. I'll check in the morning.
I don't know if this is any good

I searched for 'fax via broadband' and got lots of hits.

Yes, I have looked at it BIGJACK, but to be honest, it looks like a load of headwork to me. I'd much prefer to hand the stuff over to someone with a fax machine and get it done that way. I'd be pretty certain the stuff had arrived at the other end that way.

It's a US site HowardKennitby and they insist on a credit card number despite being "free". They charge in dollars despite being "free". Just the sort of stuff I'm trying to avoid but thanks all the same.
I didn't look into any of them, I just posted the first one. As I said, that search came up with many hits.

I really do understand HowardKennitby but it just goes to show how careful you have to be with these so-called free services. No harm done and thanks all the same.
I realise time is running short for you, but :
Many sites ask for cards, when there is a free introductory period but normally charges. One way to retain anonymity, or avoid passing sensitive credit card information over the ether is to use a prepaid card - W H Smith do a line of MasterCard ones, starting at £25. Once details given, and nothing charged, you can then spend anywhere that takes MasterCard. If they try to take any cash, the card will be empty. I have 58p left on one, a bit shamefaced about using it!
You could try searching for internet cafes where you are. Some of my local ones do have faxing facilities.
Apparently Staples have fax machines for public use as well.
