App or device to plan out a Route?

Hi, I do hope someone can help with this. I am looking for an app or device that could plan out a route and give the best order to do it in from postcodes?
It will be needed for a delivery driver with a brand new route, he will have postcodes, but won't necessarily know the most effective way to plan the route.

Microsoft autoroute will do it, you enter all the stops in any order you want then select optimise route.

Though it's not tricky to plan a route with a cup of coffee and a map before setting off.

Unsure how useful it would be but you may wish to check the http:/www.TheAA.com site; they have a route planner where you can enter 'via' points. I've never tried to get it to optimise anything though; that might be beyond it. Maybe worth trying for a route that takes you back where you started via all the other places ?

aa router planer will only plan the route in the order it's entered, it won't find the best order for the route.

Hi, Thank you all for taking the time and trouble to answer, it looks like Microsoft Autoroute may do the job. I'll look into that further. It's been a great help.
