I want an mp3 player to use with a language course. All I need is a simple uncomplicated model - once I'm speaking the language like a native I will no longer need the thing. Will 2GB be big enough to take 5 hours of the spoken word? Many thanks for the suggestions.

At 128Kb/s (more than enough for spoken words) you will get about 37hours on a 2GB player.

If you were to drop the quality to 48Kb/s (still acceptable for spoken words) you'd get about 99 hours....

So you should just squeeze 5 hours on it :)
