I would be greatful if you could answer my survey into whether violent video games have created desensitisation to violence. You can be an avid video-gamer or someone who has not played before, either or I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

sorry, I'm far too busy studying the schematics for a MAC-10 firing pin to fill in your survey.
Time magazine reported recently that three times more adult males over the age of 18 play video and computer games than boys under the age of 18! I'm just amazed adults play these things. I was married and had my own house and business when I was 24 - yet many young men that age are playing computer games! Can't they grow up?
I'm 43 and have been gaming for over 30 years. I had a mortgage at 24 and was married by 25. The two can co-exist!
Oh dear Andy, I've been on the PS3 tonight as I have every night since Christmas and have been playing for years, I think I've grown up (although I don't play violent games).
I used to love playing Doom, kept me occupied for hours!
well its easy to scoff at something you have no interest in. Plenty of blokes my age chase a football around on a sunday morning or hope to catch the mythical 10 ft pike in the local pond - because thats what they're in to.
Non-gamers don't see it is a legitimate hobby. The problem is that the very word 'game' devalues it. Long gone are the days of left right and fire being replaced feats if true skill, dexterity and patience! My 1000G on CoD 2 still fills me with pride and I'm 42!

Surely violence is more directly linked to poor areas and therefore by default gaming is less prolific due to the costs involved? The entertainment industry always gets the rap be it film, music or gaming.
