If it's for light, everyday use I'd recommend the Epson's Stylus SX130. £25-£30 most places but you have to supply your own USB cable.

Thank you, douglas, I know which brand I'd buy which doesn't include epsom! I don't understand the wireless bit
Comet are selling HP 1000 ink jet for 19.99 - cheapest I can find and ceaper than replacement ink cartridges
You can connect wireless printers using a USB cable if you want, the wireless is in addition to USB, not instead of.

Thank you ChuckFicken, that's extactly what I wanted to hear or should that be read! Brilliant Sonyme, I'll check it out as you say as cheap as replacement cartridges.
Keep in mind that the cartridges supplied with printers are only partially full and sometimes only last a handful of pages, a £19.99 printer is fine, but if the cartridges supplied only last a day and the replacements cost £20 each it's suddenly not such a good deal.

Check the cost of replacement cartridges before buying any printer.
After months of research I bought a Kodak ESP C110. It prints photos direct from a camera card, and has a photocopier and scanner included. Ok slightly more expensive than a HP but the black ink cartridges cost less than £7 each and they last for ages, even longer of you print in draft mode. Would recommend it.
This all-in-one printer from Argos together with the ebay ink cartridge supplier looks steal.

Thank you Hymie, not keen on Argos but will check out product
Check out the Canon range, I have an MP2200 model and it prints directly from a camera card besides copy`s and PC.
I think nearly all printers that are advertised as WiFi can also be wired, I would strongly recommend Epson, thats all I ever use.
