I would like to know if you have blocked someone from your account on Facebook can they still view your comments on a mutual friends thread?

Thank you
Yes think so.

Someone blocked me on FB (yes I know, unbelievable huh? I mean, ME!) and I can still see her comments on someone else's posts.
that's not right, B00.. unless you're in a group (according to the Site Rules) but I still don't think you can see them.

I don't *** her off or say anything detrimental about her I just don't want her to know anything about me or mine and I chat to family and friends abroad quite a lot on Facebook and she is on there as well. Her family is mine and although most want nothing to do with her either it is a case of keeping the peace.

thanks for clearing that up, S-C!
B00 - maybe they unblocked you.
im very confused now, is un-friending someone the same as blocking them? Is it the same thing?

And if they aren't, perhaps if you just un-friend them you can still see their comments on someone else's page?
no bloody idea what im talking about now, rofl- sorry!

Boo how do you know you were blocked. Are you notified ??? If so I hope so then at least she knows someone is not afraid of her.
Surely if you restrict your friends to those you want to have access, they're the only ones who can see what's on your wall? I've clicked on people who've I've not friended, and I can't see their details.
well how i found out she'd at least un-friended me was i saw a comment by them on someone else's page and thought "not heard from her in a while" checked out her page to find out i was no longer a friend.

I'm talking about something else entirely aren't I? So there's unfriending AND blocking?
Well, I think there is - you can detach yourself from someone - or you can actually say "I don't want this person to try to contact me". Am I right?
Unfriending and blocking are different.

yes I think you can unfriend someone but still see their details.I did with my ex husband and I can still see his wall and also post on it(I don't,but I could)I actually blocked this person though and when I leave comments on other friends and families walls I know she is also cos they respond with things like for example"Oh thanks (name) will do " etc.I assume I cannot read the comment because I have blocked her but if my ex husband responds to said friends and family I can read his comments.I just wondered whether she could read mine cos I don't want her to.
the answer is no.

which doesn't mean someone won't pass it on, though!
