i might add the picture is ok before i put my password in after that the prob starts. also its ok in safe mode so is it the card wearing out or not?
Have you checked the monitor to graphics card cable? Any excess temps inside the pc case, make sure all the vents are clean and that all fans are running. Not sure why you cannot update the graphics drivers or are you saying you cannot download them?
Could be the card is starting to fail, but there are other causes as well.

this card is not win 7 supported it says but its run ok for many months and the comp says its got the best driver
fans etc are all good and clean i'm quite a novice except where this is concerned if it persists ill take it out and have it checked out at local comp shop
cheers
Plug the monitor into the PC motherboard display output – this will allow you to determine whether the graphics card is causing the aberration.

You might need to unplug the graphics card to enable the motherboard display.
I know your graphics card has no Windows 7 support, try the Vista drivers instead. If they don't work then you can always roll them back.
TBH .. You will probably be best using the Omega drivers ..
I use them for my Radeon cards.
