I am trying to delete a contact from Windows Live Mail 2011 (Windows 7 OS) but when I click on the contact in the list of contacts then click Edit Contact I just get a message saying contact cannot be saved. Help please.

Just deleted a contact as a test and didn't seem a problem..

Opened the Contacts list from bottom left of the page ...right clicked on the offending contact and selected delete from the resulting menu....try that...

Thanks Commoner. I didn't realise that there was a contacts list at the bottom left; I was trying to do it from the list you get when you choose recipients for an e-mail. I blame Microsoft for not including Outlook Express with Windows 7. Outlook has far more features than I need.

Thanks also ChuckFickens, I was just doing it wrong!
